The Governing Body of Christ Church requests the pleasure of your company at the 1998 - 2000 Gaudy on Friday 21st June.
There will be an afternoon lecture followed by Evensong, drinks reception and a Black Tie Dinner (free of charge). Within the limits of available accommodation, members are very welcome to stay in College overnight and enjoy breakfast in Hall on Saturday. Dress Code: Dinner jacket – decorations. Gowns are optional, Doctors in scarlet. The Development Office will not be responsible for gown hire. If you wish to book a gown for the evening, you may book it via Shepherd & Woodward: https://www.shepherdandwoodward.co.uk/pages/academic-gowns.
Tour: As part of the Gaudy programme, the House’s Custodial staff will be leading a walking tour of Christ Church on Saturday morning, assembling under Tom Tower at 10.30am. If you would like to join a tour, please indicate this on the booking form. The tour lasts approximately one hour.
Parking: If at all possible Members are requested to use the Park and Ride facilities in Oxford, but limited parking will be available in the Meadow. If you require (overnight) parking, please indicate this on the booking form. The parking barrier will be raised from 1.00pm on Friday. Please note that the new Oxford Zero Emission Zone is now in place. We recommend you approach the House via Abingdon Road A4144 → Thames Street → Speedwell Street. Botley Road is still closed coming in from the A420.
Harassment against staff/ student helpers: We ask you to treat Senior Members, staff and student helpers with the same respect you expect from them. We will not tolerate any form of harassment towards any member of the College.
