The Christ Church Association

The Christ Church Association is made up of all Members of the House who have completed one academic year at Christ Church. Formed in 1989 it offers opportunities for alumni to maintain lifelong connections with one another, and with Christ Church.

Whilst you are up, we can give you advice on careers, work experience, travel and finance, and put you in contact with Old Members who may be able to help you. Once you have gone down, we can help you keep in touch with your contemporaries via our regular alumni events.

The AGM normally takes place in September and coincides with the Association's ‘Open House’ event. Minutes for the 2024 Association AGM on 21 September are here.

The 2025 AGM will took place on 20 September at Christ Church. The 2026 AGM will be held on 19 September.

The Committee

The CCA Committee has representation from alumni, Governing Body, staff and students. Alumni members fill the roles of Chair and Secretary, and six alumni members are elected (three positions) or co-opted (three positions). Minutes from the Committee Association Meeting on 29 November 2025 are available here.

We currently have an exciting opportunity to shape the future of alumni activities at Christ Church – and help fulfil the potential of our vast network of Members – by joining the Christ Church Association Committee. There is one space for a new member to join.

Committee members are appointed for a three-year term and may be re-elected for a further term. Members are required to attend four Committee meetings per year (in person or online) and to take an active role in events and activities outside these meetings.

If you would like to join the Committee, please email development.office@chch.ox.ac.uk with

  • your name
  • matriculation date
  • approximately 200 words on why you would like to be considered for membership of the Committee and the skills you would bring to the role

The deadline for nominations is 30 August 2026.

Voting for new members will be run online from 4 September until midnight on 17 September. Please note the vote is advisory. The committee will make the final appointments guided by the outcome of the vote and the skills and expertise it feels it needs to function effectively. Also, please be aware that information from each application will be circulated to all alumni in advance of the vote. The appointment will be confirmed at the AGM on 19 September.
