Thanks to the remarkable generosity of our community, we were also able to raise over £200,000. These donations will make a profound difference to the support we can offer to Christ Church students, present and future, and we are very grateful to all who participated with both regular and one-off gifts.  The students enjoyed over 300 conversations with alumni, with half kindly giving a gift to support Christ Church students.

Student caller, Josita, shared her thoughts on being part of the campaign: "Although it is a positively terrifying thought to pick up a telephone as a 20-year-old in today's world, when there is always the convenience of texting, doing the Christ Church Telethon had me calling about 30-40 people a day. Whilst some alumni were able to generously offer financially, others were able to generously offer nuggets of wisdom from their time at the House and from the life they'd led since leaving. Calling as a process was monotonous indeed, but the variety and diversity of the recipients of the calls on the other end threw me that lifeline of curiosity and enthusiasm to get to know them."

Students were  grateful for the wealth of careers advice offered during the campaign, from law to non-profits, further education to entrepreneurship. We encourage alumni to consider offering assistance as mentors to current Members.

If you are interested in finding out more about our funds, or would like to receive a call in future, please contact our Development Officer, Olivia Tan.
