Sophie is a GB athlete, representing at 24-hour ultrarunning events (you may have seen her portrait in the Porters' Lodge), but this was her hardest race to date. Over the 3 nights, she only had 2 hours and 17 minutes of sleep!

Her goal was to inspire and empower other women to take on their own challenge, as well as to raise funding for SheRACES. Sophie founded SheRACES in 2022 to break down barriers for women and girls at races and get more women on start lines. Races all over the world, including major marathons such as London and Chicago now allow women to defer entries when pregnant, alongside other female equality policies as a result of her efforts.  A former CFO and investment banker, Sophie now speaks to organisations about resilience, performance and how everyone can drive positive change.

You can support her cause here and to find out more about her run (and the upcoming film of it!).
