Congratulations to Professor David Lane (1983, Maths) who has been appointed in the first cohort of Fellows of the Academy for the Mathematical Sciences.

David Lane is Professor of Business Informatics at Henley Business School (University of Reading), specialising in System Dynamics Modelling for policy analysis. 

As leading mathematicians in academia, education, business, industry, and government, Fellows of the Academy for the Mathematical Sciences will contribute to projects of national importance – from modelling the effects of climate change to preparing for future diseases and pandemics. Their inauguration took place at The Royal Society on Thursday 29 January.
