It was a small gathering, but all who attended appreciated the opportunity to mingle, move freely from table to table and speak with everyone. Such an intimate group allowed all to introduce themselves, and we noted that the event was dominated by lawyers of different vintages! Philippa gave a thorough and succinct briefing of the events that had taken place in 2025 to commemorate the 500th year of the House. She shared the welcome news that plans are underway for the first expansion of Christ Church's historic curtilage in 500 years. The new site is adjacent to Christ Church (previously the Faculty of Music) and will be redeveloped into a Graduate Centre for the House, providing much-needed housing and facilities for graduates.
It was a lovely evening of catching up with old friends and, in some cases, making new friends. As always, it was a pleasure to have Philippa with us again.
