Somerset born, UK singer-songwriter Tom Scamell (2020, History) spent his teenage years honing his craft as a guitar player and songwriter, obsessively sitting in front of the amplifier and playing until his fingers were numb, and the rhythm finally set in.
After graduating from Christ Church, Tom has spent the last two years working for a tech-start up in London, alongside pursuing his music.
In the last year he has earned support from The Police, Dire Straits, Bruce Springsteen, and Fleetwood Mac on TikTok (20M+ views) through originally styled covers of classic songs.
In Summer 2025 he moved to music full-time, marked by a 3-month stint in New York, touring the east-coast as the guitarist for Kaleb Cohen, and playing his original music at shows every week in the city. A last-minute opportunity came up to support Cruz Beckham’s first US show in Washington, on 28 July, which was a fantastic opportunity to showcase his work on a bigger stage.
