Peter Holder has been at Westminster Abbey since 2017; prior to this time he held the position of Sub-Organist at St Paul’s Cathedral. He has played for many state and royal occasions, including the funeral of Queen Elizabeth II and the Coronation of King Charles III and Queen Camilla. In recognition of these contributions, Peter was made a Fellow of the Royal Academy of Music earlier this year.

Peter Holder studied for his BMus (1st class) and MA at the Royal Academy of Music. He subsequently became an organ tutor at the Academy. He is also an international recitalist and made his solo debut at the First Night of the Proms – performing Janacek’s Glagolitic Mass with the BBC Symphony Orchestra – in 2019
