The Choir Schools’ Association Conference coincided with the Cathedral Choir's broadcast on Radio 3 (29 April), as well as a joint Evensong sung by Frideswide Voices and Merton College's Girl Choristers (30 April) and the May Day morning celebrations from Magdalen College (1 May).

Headmaster of the Cathedral School, Richard Murray, welcomed everyone to the conference and delegates we were treated to a special performance by choristers from Worcester and Pembroke. The conference itself featured presentations by The Rt Revd and the Rt Hon. Lord Chartres GCVO, as well as the composer and conductor, Joanna Forbes, and Andrew Gant (composer, singer and author). Distinguished composer Howard Goodall CBE (1976, Music) was guest of honour and after-dinner speaker at a celebratory conference dinner in Christ Church Hall.
