The event has been organised by Oxford University Athletic Club (OUAC) and the University of Oxford, with support from Oxfordshire County Council. It is open to the general public – of all ages and abilities – but places are limited.  Entries close at midnight on Thursday 2 May. World Athletics will sponsor many local school children as part of their Global Kids’ Athletic Day.

The finishers’ medal will be presented on the Iffley Road Track, where Roger Bannister set the world record.
