On picking up our son at the end of Hilary term, for the Easter break, we decided to make a day of it and booked to attend the family programme lunch held in Christ Church dining hall. We took the opportunity to invite some close family friends who had been asking what it was like. We started the day with the usual scramble to get all our son's kit into the car in time for the 12.15pm deadline to be seated in the hall. We managed it just, but the hard work was rewarded with a lovely experience. The food and wine were delightful, no doubt enhanced by such an impressive setting. It also turned out a great opportunity to break bread with some of the team at Christ Church and to meet some of our fellow parents. The normal hard work of end of term pickups turned into a thoroughly enjoyable day. A big thank you to the dining hall staff and the alumni relations team.
