The combination of image and writing is an evocative visual tool, found in medieval book illuminations, contemporary art and in the everyday of advertisement. This exhibition explores some forms of this pleasing aesthetic, with drawings by Michelangelo, Leonardo, Veronese, Rosso Fiorentino and many more.
The Picture Gallery is open to all. Tickets can be purchased directly at the entrance to the Picture Gallery or can be booked online.
