Joshua Omolegan received the Gibbs Prize for the best final-year Computer Science project. His project explored the use of machine learning in healthcare: ‘on the fly’ improvements to machine-learning models for segmenting (labelling) parts of the foetal brain in 3D ultrasound scans.

Meanwhile, Owen Agnel was awarded the Hoare Prize for the highest overall performance in the Computer Science and Philosophy course. The combined course allowed Owen to pursue several fields of study including: quantum computing, applications of machine learning in healthcare, and the ethics of artificial intelligence. Owen's final-year research project focused on methods for simplifying quantum circuits.

Having completed their degrees, Joshua and Owen will leave Christ Church to pursue software engineering roles in London.
