| The House |
Christ Church was founded in 1525 by Thomas Wolsey, but four years later the cardinal suffered a catastrophic downfall at the hands of his king, Henry VIII. Unperformed since the 16th century, this play about Old Testament Queen Esther satirises the fall of the Cardinal, and it comes to the place he once named 'Cardinal College' as the House celebrates its 500th anniversary.
The performance will take place on Friday 28 March 2025 at 6.30pm in the Research Centre (Thatched Barn), Christ Church, Oxford. Tickets are available here.
