The second of the 500th Anniversary Lectures, given by Dame Professor Sarah Gilbert, Senior Associate Research Fellow at Christ Church, took place on Wednesday 25 June in Oxford Town Hall.

Professor Gilbert was introduced by the BBC's Health Editor, Hugh Pym (1978, PPE), and joined by Professor Sir Peter Horby and Dr Zakiul Hassan for the lecture: 'Preparation and Pandemics: Confronting New Threats'.
