We were sad to hear of the death of Dr Allan Chapman, who was an Associate Member of Christ Church SCR from 2009. Tony Simcock (Museum of the History of Science) shares his obituary.

Dr Allan Chapman (1946-2026) was an Associate Member of the History Faculty, having studied for his DPhil in History of Science at Wadham College. He had a close association with Christ Church, becoming a Member of Christ Church SCR in May 2009. He was a regular contributor to Christ Church Matters and worshipped at the Cathedral on a regular basis. His funeral service took place there on Tuesday 3 March.
